Butter, flour and parmesan. That’s all you really need to make these buttery Parmesan Shortbread! Bake them to enjoy with family and friends at afternoon tea.
Pre heat oven to 150 degrees Celsius, and line two large baking trays with baking paper.
Mix the butter and the cheese until well combined. Add the flour and mix until a dough forms. If you aren’t using a stand mixer for this, you can combine the flour to the butter mix with your finger tips.
Once a dough has formed, lightly dust your work surface with flour and roll out the dough until it is 2-3mm thick.
Cut out the biscuits using a small round biscuit cutter, and place on the prepared trays. Re-roll and continue cutting out the biscuits until the dough is all used up.
Bake for 15 mins, or until the biscuits are lightly golden in colour. Allow the biscuits to cool on their trays.
