Seed and Oat Biscuits

Ingredients

  • ½ cup rolled oats
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon pepitas
  • 1 cup The Healthy Baker Plain Flour
  • ⅓ cup soft brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • ⅓ cup auzure Canola Oil
  • ⅓ cup hot water

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 180°C/160°C fan-forced. Line 2 baking trays with baking paper.

Place oats into mixing bowl and process 5 sec/speed 7, or until coarsely ground.

Add sesame seeds, pepitas, flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, oil and water and mix 10 sec/reverse/speed 4.

Scrape down sides of bowl and mix a further 10 sec/reverse/speed 4, to form a firm dough.

Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead lightly until smooth. Roll out the dough until 4mm thick.

Use a fluted 6cm cutter to cut out biscuits. Place on prepared trays and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a pale golden colour.

Cool on wire rack. Serve with cheese and fruit.
