Autumn is the perfect time of year for a pizza party! It isn’t too cold to entertain outside in the evenings, plenty of beautiful produce for toppings. While of course we’d all love a beautiful wood-fired pizza oven in the back garden, a hot oven will do a great job with your pizzas too!
Combine the yeast and lukewarm water in a small bowl and leave to sit for 10 minutes so the yeast activates. Whisk in the oil.
Turn flour out onto a work surface, add the salt and make a well in the centre.
Pour in the yeast mixture and bring mixture together with your hands until a rugged dough.
Now knead for about 5 minutes or until the dough is smooth and elastic.
Place in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a tea towel and set aside in a warm place for one hour.
