What you’ll need

Wholemeal Plain Flour Mix

1 ½ cups The Healthy Baker Wholemeal flour

1 ½ cups The Healthy Baker Self-raising flour

caster sugar

⅓ cup caster sugar

butter

50g butter

buttermilk

1 cup buttermilk

Preheat the oven to 180C.

Combine the SR flour, wholemeal Flour and sugar. Then use your hands to rub the butter into the flour to create a crumb. Then add in the buttermilk. Bring it together in a stiff dough. Tip onto a floured surface and gently knead until smooth. Pat out to 2cm thick. Use a scone cutter to cut scones.

Bake in the oven for 20mins.

Serve with cream and your favourite jam!
