Celebrate your pup with homemade pupcakes — soft, pet-friendly cupcakes made especially for furry family members. These pupcakes are absolutely perfect for your next puppy party, birthdays or gotcha days, giving your dog a treat made just for them.

Top with dog-safe frosting or even one of your homemade doggy biscuits for a birthday your puppy won’t forget. Easy to bake and perfectly portioned, they’re a fun way to include pets in the celebration while still looking adorable on the party table.

Let cool completely before serving and store leftovers in an airtight container.

Ingredients

  • 1 banana
  • ⅓ cup smooth peanut butter
  • ⅓ cup apple sauce
  • 2 tablespoon honey
  • ⅙ cup olive oil
  • ½ cup The Healthy Baker Plain Flour
  • pinch salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

For the icing

  • ¼ cup greek yogurt
  • ¼ cup smooth peanut butter

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 170C and line 5 holes of a standard muffin tray.

In a large mixing bowl, mash the banana.

Add the peanut butter, apple sauce, honey and olive oil and stir to combine.

Add the flour, salt and baking powder and stir until everything is smooth.

Divide the mixture between the holes of the muffin tray, and bake for 22 minutes or until golden.

Allow the cupcakes to cool completely before adding the icing.

To make the icing, stir together the Greek yoghurt and the peanut butter. Spread over the top of each cupcake before serving.
