This Choc Chip Protein Banana Bread is a deliciously indulgent twist on a much-loved classic, combining the natural sweetness of ripe banana with generous bursts of rich chocolate chips throughout every slice. Made with The Healthy Baker Protein Banana Bread Mix, it bakes into a beautifully soft and moist loaf with an added source of protein, making it a satisfying option for breakfast, morning tea or an afternoon snack. The chocolate chips melt into the banana bread as it bakes, creating pockets of chocolatey goodness that make this easy recipe a favourite with both adults and children. Enjoy it fresh from the oven, lightly toasted with a little butter, or pack individual slices into lunchboxes for a convenient treat. It is also an ideal way to use overripe bananas and can be prepared ahead of time for entertaining, busy weekdays or relaxed weekend baking. For an extra chocolatey finish, sprinkle a few additional choc chips over the top before baking.
Preheat oven to 180C conventional or 160C fan forced.
Grease a large loaf tin.
Place Protein Banana Bread mix, canola oil, eggs, bananas and water into a medium mixing bowl and mix for 1 minute.
Scrape down mixing bowl and mix for a further 1 minute. Fold through half the choc-chips.
Pour batter into the greased loaf tin and sprinkle with remaining choc-chips.
Bake for 50-55 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean.
Let cool in the loaf tin for 30 minutes.
Remove from loaf tin and place on a cooling rack to cool completely.
Slice into even pieces and enjoy.
